City Residents Very Satisfied with Local Bus Services

The Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has released the results of the 2008/09 Nottingham Place Survey, which show very high satisfaction with local bus services.

The Nottingham Place Survey is part of a statutory biennial survey conducted by all local authorities in England where a postal questionnaire was sent to a random sample of households during autumn 2008.

The report states that “Nottingham’s strong performance in public transport has been reflected in high rates of satisfaction among residents”, which supports the extensive work and investment NCT, the other bus operators and our partners at the City Council have been doing to improve bus services.

Some 77% of City residents say they are satisfied with local bus services, compared to only 55% nationally.

This clearly reflects very well on Nottingham City Transport and is recognition of the comprehensive, frequent and value for money service that we deliver on a consistent basis.
