NCT Await UK Bus Awards Announcement

Nottingham City Transport will find out tomorrow whether it has been successful in winning two prestigious awards at the UK Bus Awards 2009, held in London.
NCT has been short-listed in the “City Operator of the Year” and “Winning New Customers” categories and the winners will be announced at the London Hilton on the afternoon of 12th November 2009.
Mark Fowles, NCT Managing Director commented, “We are absolutely delighted to have been short-listed for two prestigious awards and are keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll bring home the trophy.”
As a short-listed entrant in the “City Operator of the Year” category, Nottingham City Transport is also automatically entered into the UK Bus Operator of the Year category. NCT were previously crowned UK Bus Operator of the Year in 2004.
John Owen, UK Bus Awards Chairman stated that, “2009 is the 14th year of the awards and we’re delighted with the volume and quality of the entries we’ve received – especially in the current economic climate. Not only have we set a new record for the number of entries, but we also have a much wider spread, particularly from small and medium sized operators”.
The UK Bus Awards scheme is an annual recognition and rewarding of success and good practice in the bus industry and NCT has been a shortlisted operator every year since first entering in 2002, picking up many awards and commendations.
