New Ticket Machine Launched

New ALmex Ticket MachineSince February 2009, NCT have been trialling a revolutionary new ticket machine on Go2 service 58 branded buses between the City Centre and Arnold and the trial extended onto the new Go2 Navy 48 buses to Clifton at the start of June..

These new machines, bring many benefits to us all and replace our ageing existing ticket machines which are now getting very slow and are restricting new ticket options and special promotions we want to introduce in the future.

The new Almex Optima Ticket Machine offers:

  • Faster ticket printing to further speed up boarding times

  • Quicker log on/off times for drivers which will reduce the time you have to wait when drivers change over at break times

  • A bigger ticket, with a more user-friendly design and additional information

  • GPS schedule adherence which allows our Control Room to monitor the reliability of buses and make adjustments to services when they’re running late and keep you better informed when there are delays

When boarding the bus, please continue to place your money in the red coin box or hold your travel card to the red card reader as normal. An example of the new ticket layout, with a brief explanation as to what each part means, is shown here.
