From Monday 15th March 2010, we're increasing our popular Yellow Line 68 and 69 buses between the City Centre, Sherwood Rise and Bulwell to run even more often, offering hundreds more seats every day to and from the City Centre!
The 68 and 69 are currently every 10 minutes combined between the City Centre and Bulwell Bus Station on Monday to Saturday daytimes, but because the route is so popular, we're increasing them to every 7 or 8 minutes so you can just turn up and go!
We're also extending the frequent service so it runs earlier in a morning to the City Centre and later at tea time from the City Centre too!
In Bulwell, buses will increase from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes each way around the Hempshill Vale, Snape Wood and Hoewood Road loop, so that's 4 buses every hour clockwise as the 68 and 4 buses every hour anti-clockwise as the 69.
We've also given the buses on the 68, 69 a face-lift and refurbished them inside and out! The new buses we're using have more room for buggies (they can take up to 3) and have 2 bays, so they can carry 1 wheelchair and 1 buggy at the same time, improving access for customers on this route and we guarantee your bus will always be a low floor, wheelchair accessible one!
Remember, Nottingham City Transport is here for you whenever you want to travel, all day, every day and with our Easyrider Citycard, you can travel from just 96p per day on the 68 and 69, as well as every other NCT bus in Nottingham - and the tram too!.
From the same date, Monday to Friday morning buses on the 70, 71, 72 arriving in the City Centre before 09:30 will also be re-timed. Most of these buses will be running earlier from Assarts Farm, Arnold, Rise Park and Bulwell and some journeys which currently serve Morrisons will stop outside on Hucknall Lane instead.
