People who travel in and around Nottingham will get their chance to let bus company managers know what they think of their services on Thursday 8 July.
BUS USERS UK is organising a Bus Users’ Surgery in Nottingham’s Market Square, so from 10.00am to 3.00pm two buses, one each from Nottingham City Transport and Trentbarton will be parked there with staff from those bus companies, Your Bus, Premier Travel, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County Councils on board. Bus users will have the chance to come and meet the people responsible for running their services, who will be happy to answer questions and listen to views, comments and suggestions about their local bus services.
Dr Caroline Cahm, President of BUS USERS UK, which runs a programme of surgeries around the country, said: “This is a great opportunity for people who use buses to come into Nottingham to shop, to get to work, college, or school and for leisure to meet the people that provide their local bus service and let them know what they think of it, make suggestions or just ask questions. Nottingham is a great city which depends on its public transport services, and we’re giving people chance to tell bus companies and the City and County Council how they think services could be improved, or just to find out more about what services are available to them.”
