Bus stop name: Farthingate
Open: Mon-Tue 5-12.30, Wed-Thu 12-12.30, Fri - Sat 12-1am, Sun 12-11

Description:
This is a large open plan establishment owned by local brewers Springhead. There is plenty of seating in the main bar area, and a partially separated room to the left of the entrance. Records show that there has been an inn on this site since the early 1780s, known as the George and Dragon until its closure in 1975. After a brief period of closure it was refurbished and then reopened as the Bramley Apple, named after Southwell’s famous fruit. The original tree still grows in a garden not far from the pub. Food is available at lunchtimes only, consisting of sandwiches and various hot meals. Karaoke features every Saturday, and for those with a competitive nature, a dartboard and pool table are available.
