Description:
This popular and pleasant hotel-style three-room bar is situated in a former Victorian villa set back from the road. The room to the right as you enter the front door is the function room and the first room on the left is the main bar area. Beyond the main bar is the “Guitar Bar” where live entertainment is featured. A variety of bands perform on Fridays and Saturdays, although please note that for the more popular and well-known acts there is sometimes a door charge, and there is also live music on Mondays. In addition an open mic night is hosted each Sunday, except the first Sunday of every month when live jazz is performed. The bar stocks four well-kept real ales. The large lawn at the front of the building is very popular during the summer months. Note, however, that Cafe Deux does not open until 5pm every day.
