Description:
Loscoe Road runs parallel to and between Hucknall Road and Mansfield Road.
This traditional two-room local dates back to 1882. The public bar has a dartboard and the walls are adorned with a large amount of sporting memorabilia from cricket, fishing and boxing. One of the first licensees was the British amateur heavyweight-boxing champion George Fryer. The long narrow lounge has numerous framed pictures, an excellent Tennants brewery mirror, and various collectables tucked away on the high shelves along with a number of old brass beer barrel taps. They also have a large bookshelf for you to dip into whilst having your pint (just don’t try and take them away!) The upstairs function room hosts the weekly Wednesday night Folk Club and the Gladdies Comedy Club on the last Monday of the month.
