Description:
Once a Shipstone’s pub called the Greyhound, the Globe was renamed after a former nearby cinema. This light and airy popular pub is close to Nottingham’s cricket, football and rugby grounds and its single bar has several large TV screens featuring sport. Nevertheless, it is less like a sports pub and more like a decent local – the TV is quiet enough to allow good conversation. The Globe focuses on serving quality beers and so the only food available is cobs and pies on match days only. An upstairs function room can hold up to a hundred people, with catering facilities available. There is a discount of 20p per pint off pints of real ales for card-carrying CAMRA members.
