Description:
This pleasant timber framed pub is another in Southwell that has had an upturn in fortune in recent years. It is an Everards tied house that is allowed to have numerous guest beers; in addition, a large selection of imported bottled beers is available. Various screens divide the seating areas. A dartboard is available for those wishing to put a bit of competition into their night out; dominoes are also on offer. Sandwiches and various main meals are offered at lunchtimes, Tuesdays to Sunday. Note that the pub doesn’t open on Monday lunchtime. Various framed pictures of old scenes of the village are on the walls; one customer who is featured in a photograph still uses the pub - he is now in his eighties!
