Description:
Situated directly on the border between Beeston and Chilwell you can actually cross it without leaving the pub! Some may recognize the interior as having been used in TV shows such as the Auf Wiedersehen, Pet; however recent restorations mean only the keen observer would notice. The two bars retain a similar appearance but hold different characters. The lounge has large seating areas suitable for the excellent value meals served at lunchtimes while the public bar caters for those who prefer to chat over a drink. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the lounge hosts music from various genres while the public bar remains quiet enough to converse. A regular quiz takes place every Wednesday with free sandwiches for participants at half time. Charity events are organised in the pub regularly with most raising money for Macmillan Cancer Care.
