Description:
Formerly a Shipstones house, this pub was built in the sixties and is a traditional two-roomer typical of the era with a large function room in addition. The bar has darts (there are three teams) and dominoes and card games are popular too. There are polished floorboards, settees and upholstered chairs. The lounge is open from 12, and children are allowed in there until 9. Breakfast is served from 7pm-10pm Monday to Friday, and pub meals from 12-4pm. There is a traditional carvery on Sundays from 12-3pm. Beer is discounted on Sunday evenings, when Sticky Thirteens is played, and on Wednesday lunchtime you can enjoy a two-course meal for £3.50! And when you’ve eaten and drunk all this, you can attend a Weight Watchers meeting here on Tuesday evenings!
