Description:
This is a large two-room public house, formerly called the Quorn Hotel in its Home Brewery days. The public bar caters for those of a sporting persuasion, as this is where the dartboard and pool table are; board games can also be played, with chess, draughts and backgammon being available. The spacious, well appointed lounge at the back of the pub has the works of local artists on the walls, a few more are also in the bar. All these are for sale, with the prices next to each one. Wednesday nights see an open mic session; jazz is played on a Thursday, and on alternative Fridays and Saturdays various live bands play. A book exchange scheme operates whereby you may take a book from those on offer on the understanding that you put another in its place.
