Description:
Castle Rock Brewery owns this very popular, traditional, drinkers pub, which can get very busy at times. The ‘J’ shaped bar occupies two rooms with a secluded snug at the back and a conservatory area behind that. Lots of old brewery mirrors and various breweriana are scattered around the walls and various shelves. Hot meals, all cooked fresh on the premises, are served until 9pm every day, along with various bar snacks including filled cobs, and, for something different, hummus, olives, pork pies and a cheese board. Unusually, the pub is twinned with the “In De Wildeman” bar in Amsterdam and they recently celebrated their 20th anniversary.

Try also: Nag’s Head, Fade, Forest Tavern
