Description:
This excellent old corner inn has a history going back to the 1700s when it was known as the White Lion. The name was changed to the present one in the 1990s, heralding resurgence in its fortunes. This is a traditional drinkers pub with the five separate seating areas giving a very cosy feel, and no food is served. For those of a sporting persuasion there is a dartboard, also various board games. The outside seating area is a suntrap during the summer and has heaters for the colder nights. A small room at the back is quiet and can be booked for meetings up to ten people.
