Description:
This is a pleasant, two bar, back street local. It is the brewery tap of the Nottingham Brewery, which is situated behind the pub. Tours of the brewery are available early evening, but must be booked in advance. Hot and cold rolls are available at lunchtimes. Various games are played: long alley skittles (outside and inside) darts, dominoes, shove halfpenny, bagatelle and various board games. The public bar has sports TV and framed old brewery photos on the walls. The pub has appeared in the 2009 Guardian & Observer top 200 pubs in the country. They have a book exchange - bring one in, and take one out. An upstairs function room is available for use.
