Originally built in 1856 on West Street, Sneinton, the Queen Adelaide was rebuilt at its present location in 1962. Named after Adelaide of Saxe Meiningen - 1792. Its new location on Windmill Lane commands an excellent view over Nottingham city centre, ideally viewed from the function room and the outside drinking area. Previously a Shipstone’s pub (now a free house), current licensees Alita and Paul Guilford have made the Queen Adelaide a very popular and welcoming pub for real ale lovers, and CAMRA card holders also enjoy a 20 pence discount on a full pint. The public bar has a large screen TV for sports coverage and is adorned with pub sports trophies. Regular darts and pool team events are organised. The lounge offers comfortable surroundings for families with children until early evening.
