Description:
Built on the site of the old Wilford Power Station and Clifton Colliery at the side of the River Trent, the Riverside Farm building had briefly been a Harry Ramsden’s fish and chip restaurant before being converted to a comfortable pub and eatery. It is adjacent to office buildings and a retail park, with a Travelodge situated to the rear of the pub. Inside the spacious open plan area is built on several levels with a public bar and adult drinking section towards the river end of the building and the family dining section with children’s play area towards the rear. By nature a favourite for families, it is always busy offering friendly surroundings with carpeting and wood panelling throughout. Meals are served all day and the carvery is particularly good value. This is the only regular outlet in the city for beers from Nutbrook Brewery in West Hallam.
