Description:
This 17th century inn with oak beams and stone floors is popular with people of all ages. Rock music is playing most of the time and the upstairs function room plays host to live bands on Thursdays and Saturdays. Friday has a rock karaoke in the downstairs bar. There are also two small side rooms for those seeking a little seclusion.
Ghost walks start from here on a Saturday night and the extensive cave system under the pub is reputed to be haunted. On the bar there is a range of up to eight ever-changing cask ales from a variety of breweries, with a strong bias placed on those from the local micros. A full menu with a number of daily specials is available every day, made from local produce and cooked on the premises. They have a secluded back yard smoking area, which is complete with heater.
