Description:
Handy for Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, the Stratford Haven is tucked down a side street next to the Co-op. It was formerly a pet shop, and after having a beer cellar dug out at great expense, it opened as a pub, named by the winner of a competition held with local residents. A welcome edition to the Bridgford scene, this gimmick-free pub has an open-plan interior with a standing area around the bar and seating towards the back. There is also a smaller side room that was for non-smokers prior to the ban. Although primarily a drinkers’ pub, the food is highly recommended, it is always innovative and well prepared, with no chips or similar “fast food”. There is a small outside drinking area at the rear.
