Easyrider Smart Card Options
If you travel regularly with NCT, our smart cards offer excellent value for money and give you added reassurance that your journey is already paid for.
To get your first Easyrider card, visit our Travel Centre in the Old Market Square or download the Application Form and we'll do all the rest. We even take your photograph for you. There is a £1 charge for new cards.

How to use your easyrider card:
- When you have your smart card all you need to do when you get on the bus is hold your card to the red card reader near the driver. Wait for the green light and the beep and then take your seat.
- If you are an easyrider anytime card holder, the reader wil flash orange and then beep the first time you use it each day.
- If you are an easyrider farecard holder please remember to tell the driver you want to pay with your farecard before you hold the card to the reader.
- If the reader flashes red, the driver will advise you what to do.
- For all cards please wait for the green or orange light to show before moving your card away.
- If you move your card away too quickly, you can corrupt your card which temporarily makes the card unusable until you visit the travel centre.
If you need to replace an easyrider card (e.g. lost/stolen), don't worry simply contact the travel centre on 0115 950 60 70 or by emailing easyrider@nctx.co.uk to report your card lost/stolen, we can then hot list your card to stop it being used and issue you with a replacement card the next working day with the remaining credit. There is a £2 charge for this service.
